The Mountain is Hers Too (MoHer)

The Mountain is Hers Too (MOHER) is a women-focused initiative under Social Lab Nepal’s Social Entrepreneurship Program, designed to support young women in building sustainable livelihoods in tourism and trekking. The project was launched in late 2025 with the support from Swiss Foundation for Solidarity in Tourism (SST).

MOHER works with 60 women aged 18–30, providing hands-on learning through a Women in Tourism incubation program that covers professional skills, self-branding, income-generation strategies, and sector exposure.

From this cohort, 20 women are selected for the Advanced Trekking Guide Readiness (ATR) fellowship, including certified trekking guide training, licensing, practical field exposure, and professional linkages.

By combining market-driven skills with confidence-building and ethical tourism practices, MOHER helps women move from interest to income—creating pathways to dignified work in one of Nepal’s most important industries
