The Mountain is Hers Too (MOHER) is a women-focused tourism initiative designed to create structured entry pathways into Nepal’s trekking industry. The project combines tourism incubation, employability training, and certified trekking guide preparation to equip women with the skills, confidence, and credentials needed to pursue professional careers in mountain tourism. Through a merit-based approach, selected participants receive advanced training, licensing support, and field exposure, enabling them to transition from learning to employment. By addressing gender gaps in the trekking workforce, MOHER aims to promote inclusive tourism and sustainable livelihood opportunities for women in Nepal.
